Instructions for Viewing On-Line Transactions and Its Multimedia Contents

Notes: Access to full-length papers and its multimedia contents of on-line IEEE Transactions on UFFC is a membership benefit - for IEEE UFFC Society members only (access to abstracts is free). The user name and password required are those issued to UFFC members for access to the Transactions and Digital Archive. Unfortunately, for now, these are not the same as the IEEE Web Account user name and password. The UFFC-S passwords are case-sensitive. If you have forgotten yours, you may request one using the online request form. You must be a UFFC Society member in order to receive a UFFC Society user name and password. The IEEE and the UFFC Society may be joined on-line at www.ieee.org.

Papers: To view the abstracts, click on the page number. To view a full-length paper and its multimedia contents, click on the PDF symbol that precedes the title of the paper. Reading papers requires the use of the free Adobe Acrobat Reader software.

Multimedia: Please also pay attention to the multimedia links within each PDF paper if there are any. You may click on the icons to play the multimedia contents online. For TUFFC publication purpose, the multimedia files are defined in three categories: (1) Color Figures (JPEG - Joint Photographic Expert Group - .jpg format, or GIF - Graphics Interchange Format - .gif format), (2) Sound Only (MP3 - Motion Picture Level 3 - .mp3 format), and (3) Movies or Animations with or without Sound (MPEG - Motion Picture Expert Group - .mpg format, or GIF format). These file types are common nowadays and can be viewed by various software (see "Information for Contributors" at http://www.ieee-uffc.org/tr/contrib.pdf for details).

If you don’t have a fast internet connection, or you want to avoid difficulties due to complicated layers of internet security settings that may prevent you from playing multimedia contents online, you may download a zip-compressed file to your computer for a smooth playback of multimedia contents by following the link "Multimedia-Zipped" (this link appears only when the paper contains a multimedia file) beside the page number of the paper. After unzip the file, a folder (directory) that contains all relevant multimedia files is produced. In this folder, please open the only PDF file (the paper itself) and then click on icons in the file for your multimedia experiences. For the icon links to the multimedia contents to be valid, the names of the sub-folder and its contents in the unzipped folder should not be changed. A multimedia example can be visited at: http://www.ieee-uffc.org/tr/mexample.pdf. A zip-compressed version of the example that contains all the multimedia files is downloadable from: http://www.ieee-uffc.org/tr/mexample.zip.

Front Cover Images: If you would like to view the original images (of the highest quality) of Front Cover Images, you may download them through the links at: http://www.ieee-uffc.org/tr/covers.htm.

The original images of the Front Cover Images may be compressed in the zip format. To decompress them, you may download the freeware QuickZip software for Windows systems. Alternatively, you could purchase PKZIP or WinZip. StuffIt Expander is a freeware decompression utility available for both Windows and MacOS operating systems.

To view EPS files, you may download the freeware GhostScript viewer. Viewers are available for many operating systems and in several languages.

Copyright: Please notice that all the Front Cover Images and all the multimedia contents associated with each IEEE TUFFC PDF paper are copyrighted by the IEEE and the copyright notice should be displayed with them at all time.
