Greeting from the UFFC Society President |
| Welcome
to the IEEE Ultrasonics, Ferroelectrics, and Frequency Control Society (UFFC)
website. UFFC is a Society of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers
(IEEE), with an international membership of about 2200. As an all-volunteer group,
we always seek the ideas and help of our Society members to support both our technical
programs and our administrative activities. Please contact me if you would like
to become involved in some way. In 2008, UFFC is sponsoring three Symposia:

meetings offer a fantastic opportunity to connect with colleagues and customers
as well as to hear about the most recent advances in the field. More detailed
information about each of these meetings is available on the conference web sites. Also
keep in mind that our Society's Distinguished Lecturer for 2007-2008 is Dr. Thomas
R. Shrout of the Pennsylvania State University. He has a long track record of
innovation in the field of new piezoelectric materials development; his talk will
focus on "Innovations in Piezoelectric Materials for Ultrasound Transducers."

Archive Updates
The Digital Archive on CD-ROM has been updated through
2006 and the updates are now shipping. If your collection does not contain all
of the updates, you may use the online
form to request the updates you need. You will need to provide a shipping
address, but there is no charge for the updates. In other news, the format
of the Digital Archive will be changing and the new Digital Archive on DVD
will be shipping later this year. Please help us in our planning. If you are interested
in purchasing the Digital Archive on DVD, please let us know using the online
form. Once the Digital Archive on DVD has been released, only limited quantities
of the Digital Archive on CD-ROM will be available. When the existing stock is
gone, no new sets will be produced in that format. |
