Professor Yao honored by American National Academy of Engineering |

Professor Xi Yao, a member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and professor of Xian Jiaotong University and Tongji Univeristy, China, has been elected as Foreign Associates of National Academy of Engineering (NAE), for his "contributions to the science and engineering innovations for electroceramics." The announcement of the election was made in Washington on March 10, 2007 by NAE President William A. Wulf. Election to the National Academy of Engineering is among the highest professional distinctions accorded to an engineer. Professor Yao is a senior member of IEEE, a member of Ferroelectrics Committee of IEEE-UFFC, and the receipient of 2002 Ferroelectrics Recognition Award.
