ABSTRACT Shear-horizontal acoustic wave storage in Ni-Co magnetostrictive polycrystalline ferrite was studied. The results show that the observed storage effect is acceptably efficient for applications. The use of shear-horizontal waves also decreases the level of the required electrical signals.
