Frequency Shifts in a Crystal Resonator Due to Submersion in a Fluid

Jiashi Yang

ABSTRACT Shifts of resonant frequencies of a three-dimensional crystal body of arbitrary shape due to submersion in a fluid is analyzed by a perturbation procedure. A first-order perturbation integral is obtained for the frequency shifts. The perturbation integral is shown to be effective in an example.
