2006 IEEE International Frequency Control Symposium

Tutorials 4 June 2006, Symposium 5-7 June 2006
Hyatt Regency Hotel, Miami, Florida, USA

An invitation from the Technical Program Chair, Dr. Don Malocha

In June 2006, one of the most prestigious international meetings of scientist and engineers working in the area of frequency control will convene. As the Technical Chair of the 2006 Technical Program Committee it is my pleasure to invite authors to submit papers dealing with new, novel and original work in the area of frequency control and timing. The call for papers has specific details, and topics of interest include acoustoelectronic devices, time keeping, atomic standards, sensors, MEMS, NEMS, semiconductor and optical devices, systems and applications. All areas of theory, design, fabrication, materials, manufacturing and system applications are encouraged.

The day prior to the symposium is set aside for a plethora of tutorials covering selected topics in frequency control given by internationally recognized experts. The 3 day technical meeting will include a full program of oral and poster presentations, as well as a student poster competition. This year the symposium will host the Raymond D. Mindlin 100th Anniversary Session with selected and contributed papers from former students and colleagues, which promises to be memorable and historical.

Complementing the technical program will be an extensive exhibit area staffed by representatives from leading manufacturers and suppliers of frequency control products and equipment from around the world.

I encourage you to submit abstracts for the technical meeting, and to set aside this time to participate in this premier international meeting. Miami offers participants a beautiful venue for the meeting and after-hour enjoyment.

I hope to welcome and see you in Miami.

Don Malocha
